JH & HS Students: The Easton Valley NHS Chapter is partnering up with Operation Gratitude during the months of November and December to "Pay It Forward With Thanks" and we need your help! We are going to be making Paracord "Survival" Bracelets to be placed in the 200,000+ care packages Operation Gratitude provides annually for U.S. Service Members. Our goal is 230 bracelets- that's one bracelet to represent every JH & HS student here at Easton Valley. As a bonus, if you make 5 bracelets, you earn 1 hour of service learning credit! Knowing how to make the bracelet is as easy as watching these tutorials (Right-handers clickhere; Left-handers clickhere). Once you've watched the video and have decided you want to support our cause, use the SOAR request form and request Mrs. Recker to let her know you want a Paracord Bracelet kit. An NHS member will get a kit put together and delivered to your SOAR advisor and you can begin working on the bracelet as soon as the kit is delivered. Feel free to work on the bracelet anytime, as long as it isn't a distraction! Also, keep in mind that by requesting a kit, you are making a commitment not only to NHS & Operation Gratitude but also to the soldiers and emergency workers for whom will be receiving these bracelets so it's very important that you make the bracelet properly and return it. If you have any questions, feel free to stop in and talk with Mrs. Recker anytime!
