Service Learning Opportunity - Girls Minor Softball is looking for students who would like to be umpires for the softball games starting April 30th. Games are scheduled for April 30; May 7, 14, 16, 23; and June 4, 13, and 20. You can either get paid or get credit for service learning hours. SENIORS: Cap and gowns can be picked up in the office. If you have a balance due, it will need to be paid by cash only for the exact amount.

There will be a pre-season meeting for HS baseball this Wednesday, April 25th at 7:45 a.m. in the library.

8th graders - We need a baby picture of you for 8th Grade Graduation in May. Please give a printed baby picture to Brig Bormann, Aidan Gruver, or Luke Reuter by May 1st. A picture of you between ages 0-2 years old is preferred.

The following Juniors need to report to the STEAM classroom Tuesday, April 24th, at 10:40AM, to take their final Aspire test (English): Robert Malik, Evan Rathje, Devin Said, Keegan Peiffer, Sara Kilburg, Wyatt Fier, Lee Lutton, & Hunter Tietjens. Please be on time and have your Chromebook charged. You will be finished in time for lunch at 11:24.

Senior Mock Interviews are scheduled for May 1st from 7:45am until 11am. This will take place in the STEM room and is required of all students enrolled in Economics class. Please welcome our guests for that day. Thanks!

JUNIORS/SENIORS - If you haven't already signed up to participate in Prom Promenade, please do so in the office by Thursday, April 26th. Remember, if you are bringing a date from a different school, you need to get the permission form from the office completed in order to bring your date to EV's PROM. Also, please sign up in the office if you plan to attend Prom.

Attention students that enjoy working with animals:Kirby y Lobo (Mrs. Schaller's infamous dogs) will visit school on Thursday April 26th (B day). Kirby is a graduate of PetSmart academy (at the intermediate level) and Lobo was promoted to intermediate on his first day of class. (The true definition of Good Boy). They have inspiring stories of how they came to live with Mrs. Schaller, love to meet new people, and look forward to meeting you!

What can they do for you?

- Demonstrate basic obedience

-Respond to commands in English and Spanish

- Relieve stress

What can you learn from them?

- Ideas on how to properly train your dog

- A little bit of Spanish (Kirby prefers her commands in Spanish...Lobo just wants the treats...)

- Why dogs are just plain fun to be around

Fall online college class sign up will start April 16th. All forms must be turned into Mrs. Wood by April 25th. This is for Fall online college classes with CCC.

SENIORS: We MUST have your baby picture and senior picture for the slideshow by April 27th for graduation if you want to be included! Please give them to Kennedy Thines by then otherwise you will not be in it.

Driver’s Education classes will start Monday, June 11. Stop by the office to sign up and pick up a registration form.

Don’t forget while doing your spring cleaning that the Playground Committee in Preston is planning a garage sale during city wide garages sales May 3rd, 4th and 5th at the Preston Town Hall. Any and all donations are accepted and appreciated!!! Please contact Tammy Petersen at 563-357-8235 to coordinate pick up or drop off. We still have many great projects being planned for the city parks in Preston!!!

SERVICE LEARNING - Service Learning hours for this school year need to be turned in by April 30th, 2018. This is a graduation requirement for all 9th through 12th grade students. If you have questions, please see Sharon Jargo. You may begin earning service hours for the 18-19 school year beginning on May 1st, 2018. - Thank you.

Starting 3rd quarter we are starting an online Drivers Permit test.

If you are 14 years old or older, you will be able to sign up for your drivers permit test. To take the test you will need to fill out a sign-up sheet that will be on the school Website. You will only be able to take your test on Fridays during Soar time. You will only be able to take the test 1 time a day.
