Dear Easton Valley Community School District stakeholders,

Last fall when we began the process of exploring our facility needs, we established the following overarching goal to guide us:

IMPROVE THE OUTCOME OF EVERY STUDENT
BY STRENGTHENING
OUR SCHOOLS AND COMMUNITIES.

Despite the fact that we did not reach 60% in the bond referendum vote, there is no doubt that we have made substantial progress toward that overall goal. The fact that 52% of our residents supported our current plan is a very strong indicator. In addition to receiving majority support, we have strengthened bonds between towns, educated folks about the high quality education we offer, and furthered a shared vision.

I am extremely proud of the efforts our school team and community partners have made to develop plans and communicate the details to all residents. Thank you to all of you who voted and encouraged others to get to the polls.

As we move forward, it is important to recognize that this project is a process. Our next step in the process will be to go out and listen to our stakeholders to better understand their perspective on the needs and associated costs. That feedback will help our school board determine how we proceed from here.

In Easton Valley we are committed to doing what is best for every student, every day. Providing our students with safe, accessible, and quality learning spaces is a critical part of our mission that we will continue to pursue.

Stay positive!
