Easton Valley is Seeking to Fill a School Board Seat
As our school and community continue to grieve following the passing of our school board president, Dick Keeney, we unfortunately must seek to fill our vacant school board seat. With a regular school election scheduled for November 2023 it is the intent of our school board to appoint a new member to fill the vacant seat until the regular election is held.
Our school board is asking for any interested individuals whose primary residence is located in district four (see map) to submit their interest to our school board secretary, Kathy Meier. A letter of interest must include your name, the address of your primary residence, and a written response to the following three prompts:
Tell us about your desire to serve on the Easton Valley School Board
What is the most important issue facing education in Easton Valley Schools today? Why?
What is the thing you are most proud of in our school district? Why?
Interest must be submitted via email to kathy.meier@eastonvalleycsd.com or may be hand delivered to the main office of our JH/HS located at 321 W School Street, Preston, IA. The deadline to submit is 4:00 pm on Thursday, February 23, 2023.
