The Easton Valley Drama Department is getting ready to perform the 2023 Fall Play: Elsewhere. The story follows Ariel (Samantha Limond), Vi (Shy Bowling), Jenna (Kiarah Hansen), and Sylvan (Sienna Olson) during their adventure through a mysterious Narnia-like realm known as Elsewhere. There, they are greeted by the half-human, half-buffalo librarian named Steven O’Malley (Austin Thomson), who encourages them to save Elsewhere. While overcoming some of their own personal fears, the group goes on a dangerous journey to defeat the cruel villain known as The Frostbringer.
The show will be performed on November 10th and 11th at 7:00pm., and then on November 12th at 2:00p.m. The Troupe is currently in the middle of “Hell Week,” which is what they call the final week of dress rehearsals leading up to the play. Admissions to the show are $8 for students, $10 for adults, and $5 for veterans who bring Military ID. There will be concessions available, which will also be free for veterans. We are doing a couple new, cool things for this play, so come down and support our hardworking cast & crew this weekend.
After the play, the Troupe can finally relax and take a hard-earned break in preparation for the Spring Musical. After fundraising for a couple weeks, the department amassed a good amount of money and there are talks for a possible Troupe field trip later in the year. We hope to continue doing things like this to improve our program, and hopefully become a respected part of the Easton Valley community.
