School is ending soon, here’s what’s coming up. Softball and baseball seasons are in full swing! HS Softball has a new head coach named Ashley Ellis, who will also be the JH volleyball coach next season. This softball season is a big deal for EV because this is the first season in 4-5 years that we have had enough players to have a full team of our own! The first three games of the HS softball season are away. The first game is May 27th at Cal-Wheat, and the first home game is June 5th against Alburnett. JH first game is at Lisbon on June 2nd, with their first home game being June 5th.
Can’t forget about baseball season! EV HS baseball has a new coach this season as well. Blake Bormann will be taking over as head coach for the HS team, while Elem Principal Austin Daniels will be taking over as the JH head coach. HS baseball has its first game on May 19th at North Cedar, and the first home game is on May 27th against Marquette. Seniors for the baseball team are Stephen Norem, Aiden Eickert, and Justin and Jeremy Weispfenning.
