On Saturday, February 14th, the Easton Valley Quiz Bowl team competed against 10 other teams in Bellevue. The Quiz Bowl lasted from 9 to 3. Easton Valley finished the Quiz Bowl in third place.
Individually, the River Hawks did very well. Tyler Kunde finished 11th, Lucas Kunde finished 16th, Jordan Boehde finished 18th, Tyson Tubbs finished 22nd, and Nizhonia Schmidt finished 38th.
The Quiz Bowl team has officially qualified for the State tournament and the National tournament in Chicago, IL. An anonymous Quiz Bowl member said in a recent interview that they were “extremely excited and grateful for the opportunity to compete at the State level.”
The next Quiz Bowl competition for Easton Valley will be in Des Moines, Iowa. They are studying relentlessly day and night. Coach Knutsen is working them harder than they have ever worked before. As a current Quiz Bowl member, I can say she is for sure doing an excellent job. State Quiz Bowl for Easton Valley starts on March 28th.
