Hello Easton Valley Families,

We wanted to inform our families and community that the Easton Valley School Board has approved our plan to begin our school year in our hybrid model. Here are a few highlights of the plan:

  • All families will have the option to choose in-person learning or online learning for their children

  • All required in-person learning will end around approximately 12:30 pm each day

  • All students will have the option to remain at school for the full traditional school day and receive transportation during regular busing times

  • Online learning will be available for students to access every afternoon or during another time that works best for each family

  • Online learning will consist of reading, writing, and math. Students will be required to access the online learning, correspond regularly with teachers, and submit regular assignments

  • We will encourage students to remain consistently in the model that families choose. However, we plan to allow students to transition between in-person and online learning based on factors such as local health conditions, potential exposure to Covid, quarantine requirements, etc.

  • Students participating in Easton Valley extra-curricular activities will be required to attend in-person learning

  • Our district will remain in our hybrid model through at least the end of the first quarter (October 23, 2020)

Next week we will be communicating additional details that will help us all prepare for a successful school year. If you would like to learn more about the rationale to begin our year in our hybrid model you may click this link here to access the same information that was presented to our school board.

Thank You,

Chris Fee, Superintendent
