This past summer Easton Valley Junior High & High School had a brand new heating and cooling system installed throughout the building. As the new duct work got installed we replaced the ceiling tiles and upgraded to LED lights throughout all the older parts of the school. Our custodial and maintenance staff saved the district and our taxpayers tens of thousands of dollars by installing all the new ceiling grid themselves.
We also partnered with WPPI and Preston Municipal Electric Utility to offset costs through grant awards and rebates. With their support, they were able to present us with a check for $9,918 that will go directly into improving educational spaces for our students.
We are so thankful to have staff and community partners that are willing to support our efforts to make Easton Valley Schools a premiere school system for our families in eastern Iowa.
