Easton Valley CSD will be closed Friday, November 1, 2019, due to a threat that was posted to social media by an EV student. Police are involved and are continuing to investigate the matter. Despite the inconvenience, we will act with supreme caution until we have all the information on the issue. An update will be sent out as soon as we know more. Thank you in advance for understanding.

Today Mrs. Sterk’s first grade class spent the day learning with the theme of bats. What better way to end the day by making a “bat” for our snack.


Congratulations to these 6-8 grade students whose essays have been selected to represent EV at the Miles-Sabula VFW post in the Patriot’s Pen essay contest! Two essays will be selected by post members to advance to the district level and from there could possibly advance all the way to the national level in Washington D.C.! Great job and Good luck!


Elementary students who don’t have a library card from Preston will be getting a form to bring home today for parents to fill out. We are excited to be able to visit the library at the beginning of each month!

Today Computer Science and Business Class went on a manufacturing field trip to Maquoketa and Preston. We got to see and learn about each factory. We went to PMW, Dynamic Tube, Maquoketa Company, A&P Graphics, and Plastics Unlimited

Today in CCNA 1 (computer networking) the students did a lab where they made cat 5 cross over cables so they can communicate with other computers in the computer lab.




Rivermont Collegiate will not be competing in the IGHSAU postseason volleyball tournament due to their limited varsity competitions this season. The match between Rivermont Collegiate and Easton Valley on 10/22 has been eliminated from the IGHSAU Regional Tournament. Easton Valley's first regional match will be on 10/28 at Prince of Peace Catholic against the winner of the Prince of Peace/Marquette Catholic match on 10/22.

We read the story Brave Little Monster and made monster puppets to retell the story. When we took them home we retold the story there. It was fun!
