Free Trees for Kids!
The Jackson County Energy District and Jackson County Conservation are working with Neighborhood Forest to give out free trees to all kids in our area. Neighborhood Forest gives free trees to kids every Earth Day! Sign up your child – infant through 12th grade – to receive a free tree at https://www.neighborhoodforest.org/registration-services/?school=111339. Deadline to sign up is March 15. Tree pickup will be on Earth Day, April 22 at the Hurstville Interpretive Center (Maquoketa) between 4:00-7:00 PM.

5th and 6th graders played a Super Bowl themed game in music! In all four classes, the Patriots won.
Today in Kindergarten we celebrated the end of our knowledge unit by having a "Tea Party". We just got done learning about Kings and Queens. Today students dressed in their royalty clothes👑
Today during our Leader in Me time, 5th graders made Compli-Mats. Students walked from desk to desk writing something positive on each classmates mat. Some of the compliments were, "You are the most kindest friend I know," "You are a creative person," "You have a great sense of humor," and "You're my friend, Bro!"
It was so nice to hear the kids get excited to write positive notes. They also enjoyed getting back to their seats to read all of the great compliments.

Today EV Seniors visited Lyondell in Clinton. They received the opportunity to enroll in the P-Tech program and scholarship to start their careers right after graduation.

Happy 100th day of school! Ms. Kaylee's first grade celebrated with a challenge to create something using 100 legos, 100 pattern blocks, 100 bears, or 100 dominoes. They got very creative!

💌 Crushgram Order Forms were sent home with all Elementary students on Friday and are due Tuesday, February 11. Crushgrams will be delivered at the end of the day on Friday, February 13.

This fundraiser is hosted by the Student Lighthouse Team (SLHT). Proceeds will be used to purchase supplies for making tie blankets for families at the Ronald McDonald House, as well as to support other service-learning projects in which the Elementary School participates.

Happy 100th Day from Mrs. Kilburg's kindergarten!
January - Student Promotion
Brother and sister duo, Thad Bredekamp and Ana King, both juniors at Easton Valley, have been competing in dirt bike races since 2020.
Thad is a Youth Hard Enduro Racer and races a 2025 Beta 250 Race Edition. He competes all over the US and placed 4th overall for the East Coast US Hard Enduro Series. Thad has many sponsors, including Bullet Proof Designs, NSX Factor, Phase Photo, Hansen Hollow, 38 Motorsports, KMotorsports, Guts Racing, and Moon Racing.
Ana got involved in dirt bike racing because of her brother. She races a 150 KTM 2022 XCW. She competes in races that are in the woods and in Illinois. One of Ana’s big accomplishments was moving up from her super mini. Ana also has many sponsors, including Guts, 38 Motorsports, Moon Racing, FX, R, and 100X.

Mrs. Highnam's reading intervention group just finished Percy Jackson! At 416 pages, it's the longest book any of the 5th graders in this group have ever finished.
