On Friday afternoon, the elementary staff, administration and Mr. Richard Keeney's family gathered in the Elementary lobby in Miles. The reason for this gathering was to honor a great man who was a staunch pillar of our community and is dearly missed by all who knew him and what he stood for. One of those things was the kids in our community. Dick never stopped fighting and working hard for all of them. The Elementary staff wanted to show their appreciation and with the help of Mr. Josh Ellis, Mr. Keeney's protege and now owner of Keeney Welding, this beautiful sign was born and was dedicated in Mr. Keeney's loving memory. This sign says it all!! Dick always said "Do it for the kids". Thank you to the elementary staff and Josh Ellis for putting Dick's words into form. It's truly beautiful!

And a true Homecoming it was for Easton Valley on Sept. 29 and Sept 30 as we welcomed many graduates back to the community that came before us! A final congratulations to all of the 2023 Easton Valley Hall of Fame Inductees! A couple of Banquet Quotes from the evening, "The Miles and Preston Track and Field teams were successful in their own right, imagine how successful the two teams would have been if put together." That team would have dominated across the board. "Love is what brought us here tonight. Love for the game, love for our community, love for our school, love of service, and love for each other." "Neither community had a Golf Course or a Track, we made the best of what we had."
