Today we’re recognizing senior member Jacob Petersen. For Jacob’s service project, he cleaned up Dalton Pond, a popular fishing spot just outside Preston. Thank you, Jacob, for modeling leadership that benefits many!



Today we’re recognizing senior member Nate Trenkamp. Nate’s service project was to place nameplates on the lightposts of the Preston Walking Path, recognizing the contributions that made the path a reality. Thank you, Nate, for helping us shine light on the leadership in our community!


Today we’re recognizing senior member Jayden Johnson! Jayden’s service project was to raise funds and donations for the Jackson County Humane Society. An organization near and dear to her heart, the donations were made in honor of her Grandpa, a great supporter of JCHS. Thank you, Jayden, for leading so compassionately!


Today we recognize senior member Kierra Messerich. Kierra’s service project was to create a Facebook page where she shared activities families could do during the Covid-19 closure. Today we’re recognizing Riverhawk NHS chapter reporter, Lexee Stoll. Lexee’s service project was to create birthday baskets for families in our EV Elementary Backpack Program. These baskets include a cake mix, party decor, paper products and more- everything one would need to celebrate their special someone. Twenty-two boxes were created and donated! Thank you, Lexee, for helping show us all to celebrate others!

Today we’re celebrating chapter secretary, Sydney Stoll. Sydney’s service project was to raise funds and supplies for the classroom of a former student who teaches in Myanmar. She raised over $100 and received many supplies for this classroom! Thank you, Sydney, for showing us how to lead and serve others!


Today we’re recognizing senior NHS member, Taya Myers. For her service project, Taya enlisted some friends to help her “Chalk the Walk” on Preston’s Walking Path during our period of quarantine. The images and phrases brought color and joy to those on the path during trying times. Thank you, Taya, for leading creatively!



Over the next couple of weeks we will be recognizing the senior members of the Riverhawk NHS Chapter. Today we’re recognizing Riverhawk NHS chapter president, Delaney Bormann. Delaney’s service project this year was to collect much-needed items during the Preston Holiday Festival to be donated to the Victory Center in Clinton. Over 200 items were collected and donated! Thank you, Delaney, for leading and being such a great example for others!



Today we’re recognizing Riverhawk NHS chapter vice president Kaitlyn Lee. Kaitlyn’s service project was to bring awareness of your social media presence to the students in our our JH leadership course. She did a great job of reminding them, “if you don’t want your grandma to read it, don’t say it!” Thank you, Kaitlyn, for always leading with a smile!
