You may heard the news that Mrs. Schmidt, Easton Valley Elementary Principal, has recently announced that she is stepping down as our principal. Those of us that know her well know how hard of a decision this was for her to make. She has been an incredible leader for our schools, both in the classroom and as a principal.
As sad as it is to see her moving on from this role, we have little time to waste in finding her replacement. We are beginning an expedited hiring process to secure our next outstanding leader while we still have high quality candidates remaining in the applicant pool.
One critical piece of this process involves gathering input from our community. Please complete the survey in the link below to assist with finding the right person to help lead Easton Valley Elementary. The survey data we collect will be used to develop a profile of the ideal candidate for the position. This profile will help us identify applicants who will be interviewed and assist us in selecting our top candidate. Please take 5-10 minutes to provide your input by the end of the day on Tuesday, May 28.

Easton Valley Families,
This morning we received a message from local authorities that a swatting call was being sent out to many schools throughout our state and nation. A swatting call is a hoax that is sent to an organization in an attempt to threaten and or trigger a law enforcement response. In conjunction with the tip we received from law-enforcement, we did receive a threatening message from out of state. The incident was reported to law-enforcement, who confirmed that this message was the same message that was being sent to many schools throughout the country. Since this was confirmed as a swatting incident and our school was not named in the threat, law enforcement advised us to continue school operations as normal. We would like to thank law enforcement and all members of our community for continuing to partner with us to keep our schools safe.
