Carson Butt, a freshman at Easton Valley, has started stock car racing this year. He got interested in the sport first by watching it, and then he started to help Rick Zaruba at the races with his car. After a couple of years of working with Rick, his parents got him a car, and he started racing. As a first-year racer, Carson has won 2 races, placed in the top 5 seventeen times, and in the top 10 thirty-two times. Some of his most notable race results are: a win a Maquoketa Speedway and Lafayette County Speedway, 2nd place at Davenport Speedway, 3rd at IMC Hobby Stock Rookie Nationals Point, 5th place at IMC Hobby Stock Rookie State Point and Dubuque Speedway, and 7th place at Maquoketa Speedway. Congratulations, Carson, on an impressive first year of racing!!
